Geothermal heating and cooling operates by transferring BTU's instead of creating a BTU of heat by burning gas. It is this transfer process that allows geothermal systems to operate at 300 - 400 % efficiency. Creating BTU's, the efficiency can never be greater that 100%.
All geothermal systems have an indoor unit that looks much the same as a furnace; your local heating/cooling contractor would handle this. In addition, all geothermal systems need a system of pipes buried in the ground called a loop system. This is what Enviro-Tec does. We handle all the outside portion of the project. The loop system can be vertical, horizontal or a pond system.
