Thanks for considering us for installing your GeoThermal loop. We do vertical, horizontal “slinky” and pond loops. We do not do open loops. We also need to make clear that Enviro-Tec does not sell any line of Geo Thermal equipment. We consider you a part of our sales force and we are here to assist you.

To initiate a project, we need to start with the load of the structure. To have the loop sized properly, it has to be sized to the load, not the equipment. Call us with the load and we will send out a contract. When we get the signed contract, and the information requested below back, your job will be placed on the list.

Prior to starting the project, we will need the address of the site. If it is a vertical system, we need to have a permit issued by IA DNR. They require a legal description: _1/4_1/4_1/4 section #_, township and range.

To facilitate communication with our crews, we need to have a sketch of the house on the lot, where you want the loop field, and a rough sketch of where any other utilities are: water, sewer, electric, etc. Also, please note that we need to have water and electricity available before we can start the project.

Please note that our pricing includes 100’ of header pipe. That’s 50’ of supply and 50’ of return piping. If the loop field needs to be further away from the house or the unit is located in the center or opposite side of the home, additional header pipe will probably needed and that will be billed accordingly. For units away from the loop sidewall, we recommend having the pipe installed thru the footing and under the floor. We will furnish you a 100’ coil of pipe with elbows and risers fused on to install under the floor. Please leave the excess of the coil above ground tied to a stake. When we come to hook up we will dig it down. The trenches are backfilled with the native material in a non-compacted state. While we do our best to backfill and level the site, electric, etc. it is still considered rough backfill. On the map, please include driving directions from nearest town and the address. Also, please note that we need to have water and electricity available before we can start the project.

Enviro-Tec does not do inside piping, however if the inside work is in place so we can hook to the flow center or your inside piping, we will, if not, we will terminate with valves just inside the wall and have thzed. Ife loop portion flushed, purged, and antifreezed. If an additional trip is needed to purge, etc., we will try to schedule it when we are in the area, but an extra charge will apply.

Finally, the issue of money and payment. When you sign a contract with your customer, please have a clause in it that allows for payment for the loop field upon completion of the loop field. We will invoice upon completion and need to be paid promptly to avoid finance charges.
